Aperte straordinarie (Extraordinary openings)

The Asilo Bianco Association suggests guided tours of historical and cultural assets along a discovery- focused path that seeks to make evident the value of existing “treasures” that are often ignored or simply not well-known. This initiative is directed not only towards tourists who visit the area, but also to the residents and inhabitants of nearby regions who are often unaware of the innumerable local curiosities and historical tales that this land has to tell. The initiative involves local youth who serve as guides. Visits to Pettenasco depart at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from the Piazza del Municipio (Municipal Square) and include discovery of the Church of Saint Catherine, the viaduct, and the Roman bridge, of the Medieval House and the Museum of Art and Wood Turning.
Extraordinary openings has been made possible by the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo (Saint Paul Company) and by the communities committed to the valorization plan for the Cuore Verde tra Due Laghi (Green Heart between Two Lakes) territory.
