The Museum
Il Museo dell’Arte e della Tornitura del Legno (The Museum of Art and Wood Turning) can be found in Pettenasco, a small village situated on the shores of Lake Orta. It is located in an old wood turning workshop that belongs to the Maulini family, which operated their business there from 1886 to 1970.
The Museum hosts a permanent collection dedicated to the art of wood turning. The museum site organizes exhibits and events as well as guided tours, cultural meetings, and teaching studios.
The building includes an information area, a reference point for the city fabric and a main attraction for the flow of tourists into the area. You can find information about the products, itineraries, projects, and events in this area; also, a free wi-fi connection is available to all.
The Museum of Art and Wood Turning is managed by the Pro Loco Association of Pettenasco and is a part of the Lake Orta and Mottarone Ecomuseum circuit.
